 December 2003 - Designer Systems completes development of special GSM connected system.....
Following on from the success of past GSM projects Designer Systems was commissioned to develop a standalone SMS (text) and voice communication system. The product included a Text-to-Speech system for vocal instruction and LCD (based on the DS-LCDD1) for visual display.

August 2003 - Ultrasonic Proximity Controller for DVD players.....
The new DVD-SUS provides media control using ultrasonic ranging. The product allows an extra dimension to be added to P.O.S presentations by providing attention grabbing playback when customers come into range. The first products have been used by a gallery in Paris to allow a mouse to dance when a pedestrian walks past.

July 2003 - Introduction of the DS-IRCM Infrared communication module.....
The DS-IRCM is a new robotics product developed to allow rovers, walkers etc. to be controlled using a standard TV infrared remote control or provide infrared communication between multiple robots. The miniature module plugs directly onto a standard OOPic controller 'PROG' header and communicates using the I2C bus.

May 2003 - Wired controller for DVD players.....
The DVD-WRC is released to provide wired control for the DVD-170/175 players.
