 December 2002 - Designer Systems goes World wide with DVD peripheral range.....
Following the success of the DVD product range over the last two years Designer Systems has opened a direct sales channel for the distribution of its DVD peripheral range to countries not served by its main distributors Digiverse and DIGIT Professional. This allows countries from Chile to Saudi Arabia to purchase DVD products directly on a 10 working day lead-time.

April 2002 - New Servo Control IC released.....
The new DS-SCXnS Servo Control IC allows the control of 8 or 16 standard RC servos using a PC or I2C compatible device. Each servo has it's own control register that allows operation, reversal and 16 speeds to be selected. When driven from a PC (RS232 serial device) a maximum of 8 DS-SCXnS IC's can be addressed allowing 128 servos to be controlled. The IC is standard & fast mode I2C compatible and is available in standard 28 pin DIL format with a free 8MHz resonator.

January 2002 - New LCD driver module products released.....
Designer Systems has developed two new LCD products. The DS-LCDD1 allows any RS232 (inverted TTL) device to simply display characters on a 16x2, 20x2, 40x2 & 20x4 LCD panel without the problems associated with the standard parallel interface. The DS-LCDD2 provides the same features as the DS-LCDD1 but also has the facility to be driven by any I2C compatible interface and supports the connection of a 2x2 to 4x4 matrix keypad. Both modules have on-board contrast control 9600/2400 baud selection link, 1/2 line selection link and backlight control link.
