December 2001 - Wireless Communication Module developed for Totalrobots Limited.....
Designer Systems releases the new Wireless Communication Module which allows OOPic, BASIC Stamp and serial devices such as a Personal Computer (PC) to communicate wirelessly over the 433MHz license exempt band. Targeted primarily at the control of robotic projects a wireless network of 255 nodes can be created to allow robots to communicate their position or over sensory information to each other. The WCM also features an autonomous mode which allows four (4) sensors to be read (8bit AtoD each) and eight (8) standard servos to be driven for robotic projects without a local microcontroller. The module is used by robotics hobbyists and professionals alike and can be purchased from the Totalrobots web site.

August 2001 - Designer Systems starts manufacture of the DS-IM (Interface Module).....
Designer Systems was approached by Totalrobots Limited - the new European distributor for the OOPic (Object Orientated Pic) - to develop and manufacture a new module to allow interfacing to external devices such as RS232, RS485, switches, keypad, relays etc. The module is used by robotics hobbyists and professionals alike and can be purchased from the Totalrobots web site.

February 2001 - Aralia Systems contracts design and manufacture of GPS system.....
Aralia Systems contracted Designer Systems to design and manufacture a GPS system for use with their bespoke target tracking software used to log positional information during railway fault logging.
