Following the great success of the current DS-GPM Global Positioning System Module Designer Systems has released the DS-GPM+. Supporting 12 satellite channels and lower power consumption the DS-GPM+ is a drop-in replacement for the DS-GPM product. Designer Systems are pleased to announce a new range of industrial communication products. The first product to be released is the WIOLink-802 wireless 802.11b / wired 10Base-T IO / RS232 / RS422 transceiver, which will be followed shortly with the WIOLink-Blue, a Bluetooth enabled IO / RS232 transceiver. n June 2005 - Denon/Marantz Professional (Europe) partner with Designer Systems to support new Denon DN-V300 DVD player..... Building on the success of the Watchmonitor boat monitoring system from Microcomms Marine Designer Systems were commissioned to continue the development to the next phase and provide GPS reporting, difference and anchor drift support. n January 2005 - Designer Systems releases the new version DS-X4 and DS-X4L and increases its robotic distributor list..... The new improved DS-X4 and DS-X4L were released with much interest. Both feature the new X4 Controller board providing an 'out of the box' rugged terrain rover solution without the need to purchase additional control boards. The new DS-X4L is a cost effective version of the normal DS-X4, supplied with a AA battery holder rather than the more expensive NiMH pack and re-charger. Also due to increased interest in the robotics products new companies are joining the list of authorized distributors.
