Description
The WIOLink-802 module is a feature packed transceiver capable of transferring IO / RS232 and RS232/RS422 over a wireless 802.11b or wired 10Base-T Ethernet network. Based on an embedded device server the WIOLink-802, in it most basic form, can monitor up to eleven (11) inputs, such as switches, sensors, relay contacts etc. , control up to eleven (11) outputs such as lights, relays, motors etc. or a combination of both. Additionally one (1) RS232D port, supporting hardware RTS/CTS handshaking, and one (1) configurable RS232D / RS422 (4wire) port, supporting software handshaking, are also provided. For more complex applications the WIOLink-802 is also fitted with a PIC microcontroller socket, Real Time Clock (RTC) with battery backup, 64Kb EEPROM and 1Mb FLASH. This allows complex processing, control, IO mirroring, and logging applications to be developed to meet any customer requirement.
The unit is supplied in a DIN rail mountable enclosure, 5-24VDC supply with or without the front RS232/422 ports.
