Description
The Designer Systems DS-LCDD6 module provides a simple means of connecting any device capable of standard RS232 serial or I2C communication to a graphic Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) module [Toshiba T6963 controller] of any dot density. The DS-LCDD6 provides complete control of character placement, customisation and cursor movement to ensure that your application is up-and-running in a fraction of the time necessary to implement the standard LCD control protocol. The DS-LCDD6 on-board supply regulation for both LCD supply and backlight, and also includes fully 'jumperless' setup of internal features over the serial / I2C link. These include 15 levels of backlight brightness, serial baud rate (9600 baud default) and I2C address. The module simple piggy-backs on the LCD module to form a compact solution. The module can be supplied on its own or piggy backed onto a 128x64 STN panel as pictured below:
